L'idea verrà discussa il 22 marzo a Bruxelles nel quadro del settore "Ricerca e Innovazione" del Forum europeo sulla Cooperazione Interregionale "Let's Cooperate!" del Programma INTERREG EUROPE.
Balentes sono i Villaggi e le Comunità d'Europa che si impegnano in un Progetto Comune rivolto ad assicurare il Benessere e la Felicità degli abitanti e la coerenza e la sostenibilitá di tutte le politiche e le azioni che decidono di definire, condividere e gestire nei propri territori.
Balentes è un “Club” di enti locali virtuosi che si pongono delle regole e si impegnano a definire, condividere e attuare nei propri territori precise scelte politiche, programmatiche e progettuali che, insieme, promuovono e difendono nei contesti opportuni, da quello regionale sino a quello Europeo e internazionale.

Balente deriva da Balentia, che in lingua sarda significa Valore. Nell’Isola diSardegna, inun’antichità quasi scomparsa, il ruolo di Balente, il protettore del Villaggio, era riservato all'uomo. Itempi sono cambiati. È Balente chi vale, chi ha il coraggio di affrontare un futuro non facile. Lo fa per amore e per passione, senza distinzioni di sesso, di razza, di religione.....

About the project
Balentes is an European "Club" of local authorities that set their own rules and commit themselves to define, share and implement agreed political, planning and project choices. It brings together villages and communities engaged in a common project aimed at ensuring the well being and happiness of their inhabitants, through solidarity, cohesion, good governance, efficiency and transparency of the administration and by a commitment to fight corruption, A new political and programmatic approach that, starting from the most fragile territorial realities, by building: new relationships between the Center and the Periphery, the inter-culturality, equal opportunities, social infrastructures and the involvement of schools, universities and the world of culture, establishes and developes the tools needed to meet the challenges that they have to confront. It is inspired by Circular Economy, by the Resilience, and by Regions and the Cities seen as
"Agents of Change".

Types of partners you are looking for
Municipalities (including their associations and consortia) of any size. It privileges smaller and isolated villages who face troubling problems such as: unemployment, depopulation, youth deviation and school dropout, environmental degradation, social inequality, loss of local identity, reduction of the sovereignty (including the energetic one) and of the autonomy of local economies.....
