The work of the Balentes project has just begun and it already leaves its mark! Here are some important press releases published today. They report the CoR’s position on the issues we expressed a few weeks ago, on Monday 17 October in Brussels, during a hearing, organized by the Committee of the Regions. On that occasion I spoke about our project BALENTES and on behalf of our under creation Network against Depopulation , which brings together over 100 partners (regions, provinces, small municipalities, universities, research and development institutes, technical assistance companies) from all over the EU. I talk about our commitment against depopulation and about a serious challenge that will engage all the European institutions in the years to come: start considering the concrete impact on small villages - particularly the most isolated ones - of all their, actual and future, strategies, funds, programs, etc..and expecially in the framework of European Cohesion Policy.

IL PROGETTO BALENTES E LE RECENTI OPINIONI DEL COMITATO EUROPEO DELLE REGIONI
Il lavoro del progetto Balentes è appena iniziato e lascia già il segno! Ecco alcuni importanti comunicati stampa pubblicati oggi. Essi riferiscono la posizione del CdR sulle questioni che abbiamo espresso qualche settimana fa, lunedì 17 ottobre a Bruxelles, nel corso di un'audizione organizzata dal Comitato delle regioni. In quell'occasione ho parlato del nostro progetto BALENTES e a nome della nostra costituenda "Rete Europea contro lo spopolamento", che riunisce oltre 100 partner (tra regioni, province, piccoli comuni, università , istituti di ricerca e sviluppo, società di assistenza tecnica...) provenienti da tutta l'UE. Ho raccontato anche del nostro impegno contro lo spopolamento e di una sfida seria che coinvolgerà tutte le istituzioni europee nei prossimi anni: iniziare a considerare l'impatto concreto sui piccoli villaggi - soprattutto i più isolati - in tutte le attuali e future strategie, fondi, programmi, ecc. e, in particolare, nel quadro della Politica di Coesione Europea.
